She is the reason UK won the 2012 National Championship.
I’m a UofL fan, but hey, at least the National Title came back to Kentucky.
In recent months there has been tons of trash talking between UK and IU fans. Back in December of 2011, IU beat UK on a last second shot. UK did all they could to lose that game. They had numerous turnovers, missed free throws, lay-ups and their best player Anthony Davis was in foul trouble. Even with all of that going wrong, IU had to win with a last second shot. All that matters is the final score which was IU 73, UK 72.
After that game UK won 24 straight. IU did have great wins against Ohio State and Michigan State; however, they had embarrassing losses to Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota. They were also blown out in the rematches against both Ohio State and Michigan State. Point being – UK was still the better team even though IU had beaten them in December. Of course IU fans disagreed and believed IU was better than UK.
Last night UK and IU played again. Things were different. UK did not miss free throws. IU didn’t sink 9 out of 15 three pointers. Terrance Jones actually showed up and played. IU wasn’t at home with their 17,000 insane racist fans and hometown refs. UK cruised to a 102-90 victory. UK proved that the last second win back in December was a fluke.
I’m not bad mouthing IU. IU had a great season. Last night IU would have beaten any team left in the NCAA tournament besides UK. IU shot over 50% from the field, shot well from the free throw line and got UK’s best player once again in foul trouble. They also scored 90 points. Unfortunately for them they played UK. Every time IU made a shot, UK matched it. IU was outplayed, outcoached, and outmatched. What can you do?
IU basketball is back. They have great players returning and one hell of a recruiting class coming in. They are well coached and even I will admit, they have a loyal fan base. I hate to say this, but I believe IU will be the best area team next year, unless UK lands some of the blue-chip recruits they are still after. Look for IU to be preseason top 5 next year.
Looking over our site stats and I was amazed at some of the key words people search that brought them here. Below are a few of them.

Kentucky State Police served Ashley N. Chapman with an arrest warrant for murder at 2:49 p.m. today in Hardin County Detention Center where she has been lodged since Thursday.
Chapman is accused of “severely assaulting” the 2-year-old child who was in her care Wednesday. Police revealed earlier today that child is Layla Marie Johnson.
Layla died from her injuries Sunday after spending several days in critical condition in Kosairs Children’s Hospital in Louisville.

I wasn’t going to write more articles about the Louisville Cardinals or their idiotic fan base today. After reading the lies, stupidity and myths from numerous Louisville fan sites, I changed my mind. I can’t believe how fucking stupid their fan base is. We UK fans maybe jerks, arrogant and mean spirited, but at least we have common sense. Below I am going to debate a few of their myths I’ve seen on their fan sites.
REFS Cheated – Total myth. The refs were Big East refs. If these refs were going to cheat for anyone, it would have been for Louisville. The refs made horrible calls on both sides. They actually made what should have been a fun game very boring. With that said, nobody cheated.
Fouls won the game for UK – Another myth. When U of L played Memphis the refs called 51. That was okay with U of L fans because they won. 54 fouls were called yesterday and UK won. Now the refs calling so many fouls “cost” them the game. What hypocrites!
Injuries played a factor in the loss – Again, total myth. U of L was only missing Justice and Van Treese. Put together these two averages something like five points a game. I highly doubt they would have made a difference. By the way, Terrence Jones was playing hurt and UK did just fine. You don’t see UK fans making an excuse for his bad play. Jones is healthy; UK wins by at least 20.
UK played at home – Once again, myth. Now U of L fans know what it feels like since they played their first 12 out of 13 at home. It’s not UK’s fault U of L fans are cheap-skates not willing to travel 76 miles for a game. Seriously, I only saw like 35-50 people in Rupp wearing red. Last year I saw 1/3 of the crowd at the KFC Yum! Center wearing blue. That’s the difference between a real fan base and a fair-weather fan base like U of L’s.
U of L lost because they aren’t that good. Any team from a major conference can win like they do when they play nobody good all year. Like Dick Vitale said, “Does Louisville even have an airport?” Louisville has played two straight ranked teams and lost both games. UK 100% healthy would have easily beat U of L by 20 or more. UK played terrible and led for the mass majority of the game. That’s the difference between a good team and an average team. A good team can play bad and win. An average team plays bad and they lose.
Let’s be honest. Take away Russ Smith and U of L loses by 20-30 points. Deng did nothing but block shots. Sure, he can pull double-doubles down against teams like Arkansas State, big deal. Against UK he looked like a complete nobody. Kuric can score 18 against WKU. He had two yesterday. I enjoyed watching UK expose how bad and weak U of L truly is. Nothing is better than watching U of L trying to run the same plays that work against Lamar, Ohio and Long Beach State and then try to run them against UK. The outcome is always the same – UK wins!
UK won because they are the better team. They won last year because they were the better team. They won the year before that because they were the better team. Don’t hate because your program is second rate. Maybe this year you guys can watch U of L lose to Murray State in the first round.
