I don’t know Matt Jones who runs Kentucky Sports Radio. He seems like a nice person. Jones graduated from Duke believe it or not. However, he remained loyal to UK. So I don’t doubt his loyalty what so ever. But Jones and the majority of his followers at Kentucky Sports Radio are exactly what are wrong with sports fans. Just read over the daily comments left over there if you don’t believe me.
Jones and his followers believe UK can do no wrong. When UK loses they always find an excuse for it. When they win it’s always a major victory. They also overrate every move UK makes and underrate all of UK’s opponents. At times I wonder is the website actually satire or are these people serious… or that dumb?
Reading comments prior to the IU game was pure laughter. People claimed UK would win by as much as 40. For a week every other post was nearly one attacking IU and their fans. I agree that IU fans are a racist joke. But IU was no joke. I actually told people that UK would have a hard game against IU. When UK lost the people at Kentucky Sports Radio had every excuse in the book. Sad to say, but the IU fans got the last laugh.
I can’t stand U of L’s fan base. They are a joke and probably the most fair-weather fan base in the nation. But when U of L is good, I’ll be the first to admit it. Their basketball team is no joke this year. They deserve to be ranked as high as they are. Read Kentucky Sports Radio. They make it seem at least 30-40 teams are better than U of L. Give me a break. I’m a hardcore UK fan, but really? U of L is undefeated and UK isn’t. End of debate!
When UK hired John Calipari, Jones and his fans cheered it on like it was a blessing. Here is a scumbag that had two Final Fours taken down at two different schools. A man that has dozens upon dozens of wins erased. As a UK fan, I love to win more than anybody. But I like to win the right way, not the Eddie Sutton way. Debate all you want. There’s no difference in Calipari and Sutton. But are cheaters and pieces of shit that lack class.
Listen, my friends over at Kentucky Sports Radio. I respect your passion and love for UK. I’ve spent many hours watching their games with my father, a UK fan. Nobody has more love for UK than I do. But let’s start being realistic and use some common sense. Let’s stop crying about losing to Duke in 1992, hating Pitino because he moved on and the fact we suck in football. That’s life. Nobody is out to get us. Start acting like dedicated fans and not complete nut-cases.

I don’t like media that exposes the school they claim to love or the fans they stand next to at games. If you want to be a Calipari hater at least represent facts and not claims and rumors. If you don’t believe in Kentucky football you should never wear the color blue, UofL has room on their bandwagon for you. Matt Jones’ KSR provides an outlet for UK sports “point blank period” and until someone wants to throw a bunch of links and a funny pictures together that is where I will go to read something funny about a tool like Pitino or Bill Lamb. StrangeBrew – Why are you on KSR reading all of the articles and comments if you hate it so much? KSR is a fan site, they don’t claim to be journalists. And are you kidding about not making money off UK? I was raised a wildcat and I would have been a disgrace to my family had I cheered on any one else, but you better believe that if I could make money while being able to be a fan still I would.

Kentucky Sports Radio was created as a blog, but the truth of the matter is that it’s a tribute not only to Jones’s favorite Wildcats but his grandfather whose influence on Jones’s life as a child made helped him grow into the successful human being he is today whether it be in a court room, behind a keyboard for a blog, or on television as an analyst.
If you don’t like KSR, don’t read it. If KSR pisses you off, I’m thrilled.

Matt Jones is not perfect but I find his show very entertaining. I am a very big fan of Calipari as well. You, not so much. Smh
